Another two lithops plants showed the buds. One is L.schwantesii kuibisensis C-150, and another is L. bromfieldii v.insularis C-43. C-43 bloomed in the last season and gave seeds that i will try to grow into beautiful plants but C-150 was young and will try to bloom for the first time :)
Two beautiful pots of lithops Aleksey, healthy and ready to flower. I have several plants of Lithops bromfieldii v. insularis C43 and mine are darker in color. It's interesting there is so much variation from plant to plant within a species. Keeps thing very interesting. You can often notice this when you grow from seed. I look forward to seeing the open flowers. :)
ReplyDeleteBob, thank you for the comments! These C43 were very young when i bought it. They bloomed first time in last year. As you can see left pair of C43 appeared from one plant after it devided. I red somewhere that lithops which devided into two don`t blooms in the following season. But these guys tried to bloom :) I have second pot with C43. But they did not show buds yet.
ReplyDeleteI also noted that every plant has own color and surface details even within a spicies. And it is breathtaking! Mother-Nature is magnificient, interminable and infinite!
