Today i want to tell you a story. This story is about small but strong lithops his eager of life and the importance of human care to help.
One day i came to city supermarket. From time to time i buy something succulentish there for a reason of plants life saving. The succulent plants are sold there very often in a poor condition, with a damages and overwatered. When i saw this lithops on the shelf it was with a soft body, very long (or maybe tall), and dinky colored. It is important to say that all plants are sold in a peat substrate. Every time i put buyed plants in a new right substrate. And when i replantated that lithops i saw it almost had no roots. It was terrible...
But in that moment i give myself a promice to keep it alive anyway. Lithops recuperated from its near death condition about year. It became short, right colored and developed a good root system and in the 2012 year
flowered. Its happy face i used for the header picture of my blog :)
After the flowering time it became bigger in autumn and then passed winter very good. After the moult it gave second head and feel good up to this time :)
So nothing is impossible i think. Love and care can break even a stone wall. If human beings will want it so much....
Another interesting thing is that when you buy something in the supermarket you are really not able to get right name of the succulent plant. In the case of lithops, titanopsis and others the pots were marked as "Lithops mix" or "Succulent mix" :) So to my shame i don`t know its right name. Maybe you, my readers, can help me to figure right name of this lithops.
